Reno Tahoe Tonight, Reno's longest running alternative monthly publication, to close up shop. Magazine to Host "Farewell Toast" this Wednesday, October 24 from 6-8 pm at Brewer's Cabinet Production Facility in West Reno to thank readers and supporters.
Reno, Nevada (October 22, 2018) – After nearly ten years in print, Reno Tahoe Tonight is calling it quits. Editor-Publisher Oliver X says that the October 2018 edition, now at newsstands, is his last issue. “We had a great run and it's now time to move on to other opportunities,” notes X. The decision was a tough one for the editor of the award-winning monthly counterculture zine that built its reputation on stunning imagery and often controversial editorial content.
“We want to thank the Reno-Tahoe community for their years of readership and support,” says X. “Reno Tahoe Tonight was my love letter to the community and the affection was returned ten-fold. It has been a very rewarding experience to tell community stories with words and pictures and to celebrate the art, culture and community of northern Nevada and beyond, for as long as we did.”
To celebrate, friends and supporters of Reno Tahoe Tonight are hosting a Farewell Toast to be held this Wednesday evening October 24, 2018 at the Brewer's Cabinet Production Facility located at 8565 White Fir St, Reno, NV 89523. There will be a Hawaiian food truck and lots of fresh beer for all to enjoy. To RSVP contact Oliver X at (c) 775-412-3767 or at email@example.com.
I want to thank Anicia Beckwith, Shelly Brown and Courtney Meredith for their coordination and support of this event. You all have touched my heart and I love you all very much!
Tuesday morning I will be on Mornings on Fox 11 NEWS at 7:45 am on FOX 11 News to support the Wednesday evening event. The RN&R is doing a short piece on my next steps that will come out this Thursday. Thank you all again for your support and love. It means a lot. See you Wednesday night at 6 pm at the Brewer's Cabinet Production Facility.
